AUTHOR LISA SEE TO SPEAK TO STUDENTS AT ASPEN

WHAT: The Aspen Writers' Foundation
presents the author in a private talk with students and
teachers of Aspen High School
WHY: As part of its Writers
in the Schools program, the Aspen Writers' Foundation
brings award-winning and bestselling authors into public
school classrooms of the Roaring Fork Valley
WHEN: Wednesday, February 21, 8:10 am

HOW MANY: Approximately 20 junior and
senior students, plus teachers, will be in attendance
DESCRIPTION:
Writers in the Schools is an educational outreach program
of the Aspen Writers' Foundation that features writing
mentorships, guest speakers and extra-curricular activities
in public schools of the Roaring Fork Valley. The goal
of this collaborative program is to emphasize the importance
of writing and literature to students and teachers and
enhance existing curriculum in the language arts. Writers
in the Schools serves more than 500 students annually
and involves the participation of 15 local and national
professional writers each year.
The Aspen Writers' Foundation, Colorado's oldest non-profit
literary organization, has been bringing readers and writers
together since 1976.
