Story Swap is an innovative educational program that uses storytelling, creative writing, and the visual arts to generate understanding between various groups of diverse individuals.
This spring the Aspen Writers' Foundation (AWF) partnered with Aspen High School to offer Story Swap as part of the school's experiential education program. The Swap occurred between students at Uintah River High School on the Ute Indian Reservation in Fort Duchesne, Utah and students from Aspen High School. To date, the AWF has conducted eight community swaps, three nationwide swaps and two international swaps.
