WEEKLY WRITERS' GROUPS

The Aspen Writers’ Foundation is pleased to announce a new weekly writers group, “Write Now!” The program is geared toward practice and play with the written word. Along with the existing Tuesday night writers group, the Aspen Writers’ Foundation now has year-round forums that support writers in both the creation and critique of their work.

Write Now!
Write Now! offers writers the chance to develop new techniques to jump start their writing with fun, non-critiqued sessions led by Jordan Dann. Participants are asked to bring pen and paper for the group exercises that are the centerpiece of the program. Attendees may share work they develop in the meeting, if they wish. Appreciation for the writing is gladly shared, but no feedback is offered. Write Now! is held Wednesdays (holidays excepted) at 7 pm in the conference room of the Red Brick Center for the Arts, located at 110 East Hallam Street in Aspen.

Tuesday Writers Group
The Tuesday group is a read-and-critique forum for writers to share and polish work that they have written prior to the meeting. Participants are asked to bring five copies of a writing sample to receive constructive criticism from their peers. The Tuesday Writers Group meets — you guessed it — Tuesday nights at 7 pm at the Red Brick Center for the Arts, located at 110 E. Hallam Street in Aspen.

Both groups are free and open to writers of all genres and levels. Drop-ins are welcome.
